varia radar not always beeping whilst not recording the ride.

Hi,

I've noticed the varia radar alert does not always work whilst not recording the ride.

On my 2 km commute where I get close to a highway I usually turn on the karoo and varia, so I get alerts. And the odd thing is, sometimes I do get an audio alert, sometimes not.

When I'm going on a recorded ride I always get an alert.

Can anyone reproduce this problem?

  Hello Han,

  Thank you for the feedback - I have not personally experienced that with mine, but I will see if I can reproduce it. I rarely ride without recording the ride, but I do notice it making noise when I am preparing to ride (before I start recording) and it alerts me to passing traffic.

  I generally have more issues with wanting it to be quiet when I am stopped on breaks and it is detecting passing cars and making noise, but of course that is what it is supposed to do!

  Hello Jami,

  I'm curious if you can reproduce the issue. It might take a few attempts, but it should not be too hard, simply sit next to a busy road and press a few buttons.

  I'd send a bug report from the device if I could but even though I followed the instructions to the letter the power menu does not show the bug report option. Also not whilst recording.
