Can I sync routes to my Karoo 2 from my iPhone, as well as from my normal laptop?

    I do that all the time with my Google Pixel 4A. Try going to the Hammerhead Dashboard with your iPhone's browser. You should be able to sync your routes from the Mobile version of the Hammerhead Dashboard.

    Thanks, Johnny. Yes, that's what I am trying to do, but it just doesn't seem to sync with the phone. I've opened the dashboard on my phone browser, and checked that the two devices are paired and connected... But nothing seems to happen. Is there some command or other that I need to input? I would have thought the Karoo 2 would just find, connect and sync automatically [as it does with my laptop]

    Geof, you need to connect your Karoo 2 to a WIFI hotspot or cellular data if you have a SIM card installed on your Karoo 2..Your Karoo 2 will not sync over Bluetooth. You can use the WIFI hotspot on your iPhone to connect to your Karoo 2.

    I sue my phone hotspot all the time in situations, like hotels, that have complicated authentication procedures.  I connect my phone to the hotel wifi and then the Karoo to the phone.  Works like a charm.

    Hi Johnny and David; thank you both for your help. But I can't work out what I'm doing wrong... 

    Situation 1: Both my Karoo 2 and my iPhone [6SE] are next to each other, and both connected to a strong house wi-fi network. I've got my dashboard open on my phone, but the Karoo 2 is not automatically updating my routes

    Situation 2: As you suggested, I connected my Karoo 2 to my phone's personal hot-spot. The Karoo 2 says "Geof's iPhone SE connected" - Still no update of routes on my Karoo 2

    And, don't forget, that my Karoo 2 seems to sync perfectly correctly with my laptop, while both are connected to my home wi-fi

    Any more suggestions?

    Hey Geoff,

    Could you please confirm if you clicked/tapped on the Sync button on the routes page in the dashboard? The routes should sync between the karoo & dashboard once this is done. You can refer to the screenshot below.

    Hi Akhil, yes I have pressed the sync button on the dashboard on my phone. It updates my routes OK on the phone. But the Karoo 2 does not sync from the phone, even though it says it's connected to my phone's personal hotspot

    Oh dear, this has now become a bigger problem. My Karoo 2 is not syncing to my dashboard at all now. I just decided to check it, and it is not syncing at all now; internet, USB connection, laptop, phone... nothing

    Please help!

    Hey Geof,

    Could you please sign out & sign back into your Karoo? I would also urge you to change the network you are connected to on the karoo.

    Akhil, I have tried every possible variation of signing in/out and switching on/off my K2, phone and laptop. The device is not syncing routes in any circumstance right now - is there any way of manually forcing the device to sync? I'm getting worried now about this problem
