etap No Longer Connects

Since the last two updates, I've lost my eTap gear display. It sometimes connects for a moment then drops, but mostly it is just gone. Is this caused by the same bug as the Di2 issue or separate? Is it being worked on? Thanks.

  Hey Zero71,

  Sorry to hear about your Etap not staying connected with the Karoo! We have heard similar reports for a few users as well. We have seen this issue get resolved for some cases by removing the Etap batteries from the system and leaving them disconnected for a few minutes. This clears out any errors and processes the ANT+ connections better.

  Do also try to unpair the Etap and repair it with the Karoo when all your other sensors are not active/awake. This isolation of signals results in a stronger connection with the Karoo.

  Taking the batteries out of the etap seems to have sorted it. I'll need to take it out on a ride for a bit tomorrow to see, but it held connection in the garage.
