Sideload Zwift Companion not working
I just got my Karoo 2 device recently since the spring is finally coming for north America.
As per title, I have tried multiple times. Initially I wasn't able to install at all due to the newest version of zwift no longer support Android 8. Finally I found the old version zwift and finally got it installed but it's not working as it shows in the following picture.
Yes, I have followed youtube video and DCrainmaker resources to do sideload. I am not a computer illiterate but also not working in a tech industry and didn't know how to write codes and stuff.
For those who wants to buy Karoo 2 should be aware.... those people who have it install and work fine are probably very very tech-savvy.... As hammerhead didn't really advertise its sideload feature...
45 days counting down...

The end of Android 8 support was imposed by Zwift not Hammerhead. Installing an older version of the Companion app won't work because of the checks done with the Zwift servers at launch.
Sideloading is an unofficial workaround / hack, it is not a HH supported 'feature'. It is therefore neither advertised or considered a failure of the Karoo when 3rd party apps become unsupported or cease to work.

I agree sideloading not advertised feature from HH so if not working is fine. However I just want to post a more updated experience for those who researched on the internet and have seen people successfully done sideloading. It's probably not the case anymore.
I made my purchase decision on reading DCrainmaker and a bunch of youtuber who purchased device 2 years ago and they all mentioned about sideloading Zwift Companion. I guess it's working 2 years ago but not now.
When I raised this issue in another forum, people said to me it made him worried to try to get Di2 mod worked after seeing this discussion.
Without all those "unofficial" features, K2 is less competitive in terms of features in comparison of other brands. Just my humble opinion.
