Unable to download latest S/W update

Until the current S/W update for Karoo 2, I was able to download the S/W updates even though I am in China. As of today, I am no longer able to do so. Did the backend change?

Note I am aware of the issue with downloading map updates while in China due to usage of AWS but now S/W updates also?
