12 Speed Di2 on Hammerhead Firmware?
I stayed with the May 2022 (final) release of the K2 firmware that supports Di2. It's been flawless on my 11 speed Shimano Di2 setup however in the next couple of weeks I'm adding a second bike that will have the new 12 speed Di2 groupset.
Can anyone confirm that the last Hammerhead-supported Di2 firmware is usable with the 9000 series 12 speed Di2 hardware, or is it time for me to bite the bullet and sideload the unofficial module? I'm keeping the original bike road-ready and desperately want to retain the ability to move the Karoo2 between the two bikes as required.

I can now answer my own question. Thankfully the Karoo 2 on the May 2022 firmware has detected and properly displays (and controls via the Di2 D-Fly buttons) both the Ultegra 11 speed and DuraAce 12 speed wireless groupsets. There wasn't even a need to delete one to detect/add the other. Happy days!!

I've considered exactly that but in all honesty for the sensor/accessories (Varia radar, lights, bluetooth audio) that I have active the May 2022 firmware seems to be more bulletproof than the newer releases which really don't offer me functions that I would likely use. Stability is key for me and the last year has been better than the first year was for sure. It's nice to turn the K2 on, it pairs with my sensors and so on and provides me after-ride data that's actually consistent, minus the typical elevation problems and so on that we almost all experience and which are still not addressed in recent releases. Once that settles down I will certainly update and sideload.

Hi Lee, I'd parse that back to "It's good enough for now". I'm just part of the crowd that's tired and frustrated with pretty insignificant new features while the long-time core problems remain as glaring errors. So long as the Di2 works I guess I'll hang on for a new feature or two that I can't live without before updating.
