Yes, a more subdued graphic outlook without the backgrounds would be better, like on my mobile I've inane amount of themes, different graphics and icon styles I like, I always mostly stick with stock. The flat basic graphics on the k2 I bought was 'just there' no headwrecking sub colours/boxes with altered shades of greys to screw up your eyes; black on white - white on black dead simple, I honestly don't feel you can better that, I can only imagine Garmin and Wahoo needing cardiac surgery from the never ending laughter, knowing theyve screwed themselves over this!

Drop the squares, if the boxes need to stay, put a slight dotted line if that and that's all tho id have it as I got it personally! 🙏

+1 Readability, or more accurately, glanceability is critical to me for any head unit.  It seems as if the Hammerhead production team doesn't know this. But without it, all the cool data features mean very little "in ride".  And I don't care about boxes, or grey borders, or rounded corners, those are just window dressing.  I care about visually acquiring my data as quickly as possible and getting my eyes back on the road.

The new data label scheme destroys in-ride glanceability.

I also preferred the old layout. With the new design the values have all got smaller. With the release e weeks ago i did like the revised navigation icons at the bottom of the screen. They were much clearer

Echo teh others comments. The additional labels for the fields should be optional. Personally i prefer the less is more approach, indeed if i have spent time assigning screen sections to particular data fields i would rather not have the clutter of labels shown. The old Abbrv' were much preferred.
