Community Guidelines

Hammerhead’s mission is to inspire & empower all people to unlock their athletic potential through cycling. Our community includes members of all ages, and of all backgrounds, coming together to reach their goals.

We work as a team

We have a strong culture of athletics, with many members of the team being passionate cyclists who maintain a solid foundation of mentorship for members new to the sport.

Thanks for joining us here on the mission! We have a few rules (which we may update from time to time) and we would like everyone to adhere to while participating in conversations here:

We recommend familiarizing yourself with the Terms of Use. We must protect ourselves, you, and your data – against unfriendly folks.

1. Do not share your own or others’ personal information (i.e. email addresses, device ids, Activity URLs, or FIT files that may contain your location history).
2. Rudeness, insulting others, personal attacks, threats, or inflammatory posts are not tolerated as per User conduct on Hammerhead’s Terms of Use.
3. You agree to not use the Site to upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any Content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another’s privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable; 
4. No posting of lewd or inappropriate comments, language, or photos.
5. Advertising, spamming, solicitation, and Trolling are not allowed. 
6. "Spam" means sending the same message repeatedly, with the purpose of advertising, self-promotion, or just plain nonsense. 
7. "Troll" means posting content in the forums that are intended to anger or frustrate others. 

In the event that a rule is broken, a moderator will get in touch with the original poster and help resolve the situation or temporarily suspend access from our forum.

Additional Guidelines

There are also a few guidelines to keep in mind when submitting posts. These guidelines may be enforced situationally, just to help keep the forums uncluttered and working smoothly:

• Keep topics related to Karoo and Product development.
• Stay on topic; new topics should be discussed in a new thread.
• Reposting to increase post counts is discouraged.
• The use of multiple Support accounts is discouraged.
• All community members must be respectful of other members of the community.  

Moderation inquiries

If you feel that your post has been incorrectly flagged as ‘pending approval’, and would like to request more information regarding a flag or moderation you received, please contact a member of the moderation staff by submitting a request.

Moderation inquiries and disputes will only be discussed with the respective member(s) and never publicly. Additionally, any private messages w/ forum staff regarding flags/suspensions should be kept private.
