While I agree with the maps part I am puzzled about this calory count thing. I never understood why people want to see it? Especially when it is basically guesswork without a powermeter.

You could just as well think up some value or look up some wild guess in one of the 1.001 tables in the internet.

What do you do with this information? It is useless!

What maps are people asking to be uploaded? The maps from a ride? Mine upload to Hammerhead dashboard and Strava fine.

Sideload APK Pure onto your device and you've got an app store.

Using APK Pure you can install the GoPro app which I've read works fine.

I know of no maps that can be uploaded to the device. There is only the stock map that can be downloaded from hammerhead to the device. They are huge in size and used to be bad in quality. Elevation Data also is quite inaccurate. And there are no topo maps. The stock maps sort of work, but once the device is out ot support from hammerhead you cannot get current maps anymore - which happened quite quickly with the karoo 1.

On a garmin I can put whatever map I want on the device for as long as it works and as long as I (or somebody else) create it in gmap format.

You can download other maps with contour lines, more POI’s and info about the roads. I use openandromaps
