Battery = good, Rerouting = bad.
Hi folks just a post to give some positive news on battery life and for balance the dangers of rerouting! I did a gravel event at weekend and was pleasantly surprised that after 135km off-road over 9 hours the K2 still had 39% battery left. I was genuinely worried after reading reports that I wasn’t going to make it round. I had the screen brightness at 25% and speed/cadence and hrm paired via ANT+. So to rerouting! I know they are working on allowing us to switch off and I hope it comes very soon. I’ll get straight to the point. My K2 kept trying to reroute me across the tonnes of byways all over Salisbury Plain and the ridgeway. It became very hard to distinguish where I was supposed to be going at points due to all the rerouting. Anyway at one point it sent me down a path that half way down I realised ran parallel then veered off from the track I should be on. It was then that I realised it had routed me straight into the middle of a military tank exercise and ground troop exercise!!! I won’t give specifics in case I get some army lads knocking on the door but yeah it wasn’t the best thing when you’re hammering it through a race. So yay for battery life and holy hell for rerouting!
