ANT + sensors dropping
Hello,
Suddenly it's three years ago all over again. All of my ANT+ sensor connections drop and reconnect multiple times during rides. The sensors that have BT connection as options have been connected that way and seem to work well. However, my lights/radar do not have BT functionality. I have the latest software and well charged batteries in all devices - Quarq Powermeter, Polar HR strap, Bontrager Flare RT headlight, Garmin Varia radar/light. I have disconnected devices, restarted and reconnected but have the same issue.

I just got a new Karoo 2 a couple weeks ago, and it's constantly dropping the connection with the speed sensor. That causes it to auto-pause while riding, and some rides it's auto-paused more than it's working. If I disable the speed sensor, then it doesn't auto-pause at all even when stopped, so that's not gonna work either. I've run my old Garmin at the same time to see if my very reliable speed/cadence sensor is going bad, but the Garmin is reading the speed sensor perfectly while the Karoo is reading zero and auto-paused. Definitely a defect with the Karoo 2, and obviously many others are having similar problems with sensor drop-outs. Mine seems to be doing it more often than most others, and it makes the device totally unusable.
Update: Ali from customer support did take a look at my files and might have the problem figured out. Will update again with progress.

I’ve had sensor drops for two years and have read every article and tried every suggestion. Recently on trip to Arizona, my Quark power meter and SRAM gears became so unreliable that I gave up and bought a Garmin 1040. That was ~600 miles ago and haven’t had a sensor drop out on the 1040 yet. I give up. Until there is a fix, which I doubt will happen since it’s been 2 years, the K2 has been relegated to the parts bin in the work room.
