    I’m surprised this isn’t something implemented yet. I can’t see direction arrows on the route. So when I’m editing a route that uses the same road back, I can’t tell which direction I’m changing.

    It’s basically impossible to edit any routes.

    James:
    Just a suggestion, but think about Komoot which is purely a professional bike routing software. The HH Dashboard is not very professional, it’s just a convenience supplied.
    Komoot has what you want, waypoint numbers & arrows.
    If you try it out in your region for free, Komoot should offers you to upgrade several times and then it should at some stage offer you a worldwide life-time membership for $20 or €20 etc. (It has for me and several friends, but they may have changed their pricing model, but you need to wait until an offer comes.)
    It is definitely worth it and you have OSM, OCM & Satellite with the initial subscription.

    @MikeF I keep having to correct Komoot routes on HH dashboard. Even if I select paved only, it still passes you through gravel sections. I think HH does a good job with editing. I just wish they have arrows to indicate route direction.

    Thanks - I already have Komoot but it’s not always convenient to edit a Komoot map. Especially when out. I may want to reverse a circular route due to weather conditions and it’s impossible to tell if it needs reversing or not on the HH dashboard because there are no arrows.

    @Marco,
    I find that amazing. By coincidence I was looking at HH Dashboard Route creation yesterday, I found it extremely difficult to define a route (admittedly on an iPad not a PC).
    On Komoot all you have to do is check where the Waytypes are not asphalt and drag the route to a road. Of course OCM does not always have the Waytypes defined correctly. (Not sure what the default Komoot or HH map are, I don’t use them.)
    HH has no “Follow Ways” and you have no idea the order of the route as the points are not numbered, etc. It does, however, look like that the HH map using “Pavement” does only show roads, which I guess is what you want.
    As far as I can see if you use “Road Cycling” on Komoot it picks asphalt as long as your route has that possibility.
    But ok, you obviously have more experience with the HH option that me.

    @James:
    A rhetorical question: if you’re out and want to edit a map, how is the Dashboard easier than Komoot?
    Why don’t you just follow the K2 route line back to the start or use the “Reverse Route” option. The former obviously has no TBT, but for the latter, the K2 should pick up that you are going the other way and guide you back.

    No answer needed as I am happy with Komoot and the options on the device for routing and for me HH is extremely primitive, but each to their own. Good routing….

    If you can’t see direction arrows on the maps / routes in Dashboard, how can you possibly edit a route there? This is baffling. I get that you can do this outside HH and Dashboard (Ride w GPS for ex), but why make something that is essentially useless? What am I missing?

    Please, please, please get this implemented as soon as possible. I am forced to use other mapping tools, and then the Hammerhead Dashboard is merely a basic tool for importing and managing a collection of routes. The lack of arrows and numbered waypoints is a serious usability gap that needs closing. I look forward to your response support!

    @Emma Hopgood At  the Dashboard - bottom right - below Zoom buttons - is a button that shows a graph view of something like distance. This allows you to show the direction of the route live at a glance - by moving your mouse/finger over the graph line.
