Not all flashing modes of Bryton Gardia R300L visible in Ride Mode
PlannedHello,
Just submitted a request today to fix this problem.
Bryton Gardia R300L tail-light/radar was properly paired with Karoo 2 (latest FW). All light modes are visible upon Gardia's configuration. However when in Ride Mode Gardia's screen of light mode does not have enough space to accommodate all 6 modes. Only 5 light modes are visible and OFF mode is not visible to switch light completely. This page should be redesigned to accomodate more than 5 options to choose from (accomodate all 6 light modes for Gardia).

Indeed, I've noticed this as well.
Slightly offtopic, but I wonder if you also experience an issue with the R300L that it will disconnect (at least) once per hour. The K2 will beep indicating there's a disconnect and it will show the red warning. After some seconds the problem seems to resolve itself. Is it only me?

Slider does not help but I have noticed that there is in fact access to all 6 modes of Gardia's lights. Even though OFF Mode name is missing there's still a way to access OFF mode to switch off Gardia's light completely from Karoo. All you have to do is tap that 'empty' space below Solid High name and light goes off (compare attached jpgs Solid High vs OFF - slider's position is different). Poor formatting of that sensor page when more than 5 options are possible I guess. But of course it's annoying and all names should be clearly visible.

I mainly had issue with page/window formatting in Karoo which did not accommodate all six flashing modes of Gardia. This was fixed in the latest FW and I confirmed that to Hammerhead support. However I rarely had issue with Garcia disconnection by itself. These days I rarely bike outdoors so It is hard for me to verify that :-(

Thanks Michiel, i'm returning the unit and will get a replacement by tomorrow, it is really annoying. Will let you know. I have to say that i haven't experience any disconnection from any other ANT+ sensor so far, and i have 2 different power meters and 2 different HR sensors connected, so i hope this is not a K2 problem but a bryton gardia issue. Let's see.

Hi Michiel, Chemapo, I also recently purchased a Gardia R300L and have experienced the disconnect errors and a random low battery warning (when the battery is full). Have you or anyone else been able to resolve this? I've also noticed the Gardia is not reporting some vehicles behind after updating the firmware. Keen to hear anyone else's impressions.
I'm wondering if the disconnect issue is causing the false negatives?

Hi All,
I raised a support ticket and it was suggested that I reset the light (to do this, hold the power button on the Gardia for 12 seconds) and forget the connection to the K2 / re-pair.
I've done three test rides (1 - 2 hours each) and really happy to report that the light reset seems to have resolved the major issues I was having. My guess is that it was randomly losing connectivity and hence not reporting some vehicles and causing disconnection/low battery warnings on the K2.The only outstanding thing post Gardia firmware update (Version: RO.6.16) is that the radar still clears some vehicles as having passed too early (in some cases when they are still behind or beside me) - but I can live with this. I am still seeing a low number of false negatives, but believe the these are likely due to a vehicle approaching from behind at a similar speed (not enough speed differential to detect a threat). -
Unfortunately the low battery warnings to the K2 head unit from the Gardia have returned. On a 3 hour ride, about 10 warnings completely randomly, but commencing after the first 90 minutes had passed. The battery level of the Gardia was 53% at the end of the ride. Also found its status on the K2 was reported as "mid".
Would be great to hear if anyone else is experiencing the same issue.
