    I've just bought a Karoo and it is very disheartening to see that Hammerhead know this is an issue to its customers, but do not seem to be doing anything to rectify it.

    Breadcrumb Routing is a new navigation preference added as an option when you select a route from your routes list. This mode is designed for anyone who needs to follow a route that deviates from underlying road or trail data, as the normal “follow route” function on Karoo relies on the underlying map data supporting the route.

    Try Breadcrumb Routing

    I find re-routing often excellent, but this is not always the case, it occasionally goes haywire. I have recently purposely gone of course several times in succession and the K2 was constantly “rerouting”. This even when I was back on route and on the yellow line. I may make a support ticket for this and send the ride to HH.
    HH need to do some revision of this, but probably won’t now for the K2.

    What I don’t understand here though is, why don’t you just ignore the re-routing, that’s the same as turning it off … almost. On unknown areas where I am navigating, I have now started to zoom out to see where it is taking me and decide if it makes sense. Often it sends you on a roundabout way to get you back to where you left the route, that is idiotic, it should just show a U-turn.

    @MikeF it's not the same.

    When you are in the mountains in forest and you Karoo makes a lot unnecessary rerouting it consumes energy for that.

    So it means shorter battery life.
