SIM card causing altitude gained and gradient % issues

Hello, I have an older version of Karoo 2 and I love it, except that I have severe issues with the SIM card causing total ascent errors (big errors) and the gradient % sometimes goes completely erratic.

Hammerhead acknowledge the problem and have not been able to fix the issue.

My question is - do newer Karoo 2s have the same issue (say, those bought in the last 12 months)?

  I have 2 new Karoo 2 units and they both have the elevation gain issue and I do not use a SIM card...and I suspect it's vibrations causing the issue since I did a controlled experiment.

  I doubt the issue will ever be fixed
