The sad state of extensibility - SDK

If you browse this forum, there are a ton of requests that could be implemented by 3rd party. If only there was a decent SDK, that is. The lack of later is IMO by far the worse missing feature which could unlock so much potential. Yes, there was an attempt, but it was short lived, like for a month and most probably developed by a single person. Instead, we are left with a black box and at the mercy of Hammerhead with mostly no features implemented.

Hammerhead there really shot its both feet and broke kneecaps in the process. It's not too late, but looking at the current state, I don't see it coming. Ever.
I'm really really disappointed.

  This would be really great, it would be so lovely to have third party apps/plug-ins etc.

  Yeah, this would set the device apart from the competition. Wasted potential unfortunately. I'd also happily code my own apps for it otherwise and share it with others.

  Yes, please SRAM/Hammerhead, update the SDK and really importantly, make it work with Karoo (3) - otherwise developers and customers are blocked from unleashing the potential of Karoo (3)!
