    Hi All,

We’ve fixed an issue where workouts wouldn’t pause when the ride was paused.

    Thanks!

@Lukasz: Let me explain this to you.

When Auto-Pause is triggered, the timer still counts down.

The Auto-Pause is for the ride and not for the Workout. Workout is independent from the ride and hence Auto-pause doesn't affect the Workout timer. You need to Pause the Workout manually to stop the timer.

Hi, workouts have ALWAYS auto paused. With the most recent update, they do not pause anymore. Hammerhead, please fix this issue.

@Zach: Could you clarify if the Auto-Pause setting on the Profile is still enabled as we need to make sure that the update has not made any changes to the Profile settings?

Yes, the auto pause is still enabled on the profile. It works to pause the ride but not the workout anymore.

I agree with the above. Even when using the Hammerhead in an indoor trainer, when manually pausing the ride the structured workout continues on. This has first happened since the latest software release 1.460.1805. Beforehand when pausing the ride the workout always paused. Happy to provide a fit file with this behaviour if necessary.

I don't think this question should be marked as "answered"

    Hi,

like Zach said, it always auto paused. In which scenario would it make sense to continue a workout, when you don't move? You could always pause your workout while the ride keeps running (when you could not exercise an intervall due to traffic or something else).

But this must be a bug. If not, the workout screen isn't useable anymore.

Same problem for me since the last workout. E.g. Waiting at traffic lights and the workout timer still counts down... This does not make sense. Autopause is on and works for the ride but not for the workout which is a huge bummer since the last update...

Agree with the above workouts used to auto pause. Has this been fixed in the new update? Getting a bit tiresome having to pause manually at every traffic light.

Perhaps, Hari Krishnan, you don't quite understand the problem. When you have a short part of an interval and you happen to get caught at a traffic light, in the time that the traffic light has changed, that interval has expired.
No, I DON'T want to fiddle with bloody buttons when I'm doing a on-road workout. This feature adds ZERO value.
I'm not sure what you guys are doing over there, but your Product Owner has ZERO empathy with the end user and their experience. The voice of the customer might as well be a mute.
    Workouts have basically become unusable.
You cant see RPE, you cant select metrics on the workout screen, you can't pause. Basically it might as well not exist. Bloatware.

I can confirm that this is not fixed with the newest update... Seems like this is a "feature" instead of a bug. This makes no sense at all. Not even if you only ride zone2 e.g. Why does the workout time run down when I´m stopping. There is completely no reason for this.

I use workout mode all the time so my Karoo is not usable anymore. I´m disappointed that it seems this is intended what really makes me sad and questioning the decisions... I always defended hammerhead when people complained about stuff but it is really annoying that basic functions are changed in ways that do not make sense for probably most of the people. I´m now selling my Karoo to avoid bad surprises during training blocks...

Yep, it seems to be odd but intentional.
Simultaneously garmin finally introduced auto pause function during workouts what makes return to Karoo even more stupid.

For years Karoo had been known as better unit in most using scenarios, less features but fortunately all of them worked.
And now they ruined such a crucial function. be ashamed HH.

If this isn't fixed very soon I too will be moving away from the karoo. Most of my rides are training sessions and this is becoming very tiresome.

Could not wait for this and moved to a Roam V2. It's a shame. I miss the different profiles and the superb navigation. But in 4 of 5 rides a week i have a workout running. And the workout function is so much better with Wahoo.

Dear riders, the Software team is working towards solving this issue that you are facing with Workouts in the next software update.
