On the new K(3) or K cannot see if it still requires a SIM, no SIM GPS enabled ..

  Thanks John, guessing you have the new K(3) as I could not find anything on the website etc for todays release. I have to app on my iPhone now and when the K(3) arrives all will make sense .. right!?

  Puh hammerhead marketing is the worst tbh. So many (easy) open questions. What about the battery? The software in general?

  That is true, Mitja, and they are well reviewed by people who are not Hammerhead. I think the point was that SRAM?Hammerhead never explain everything as well as all the third parties on YouTube lol.

  Fair enough but if I go to a product website I expect the features and facts provided by the company itself! They dont say anything about battery which probably was the biggest complain with the K2. They easily could have used this for promotion purposes now. But I assume the battery life for example has not much changed… same for the remainder. New hardware, similar software is my assumption based on their product page. At a higher price of 500 eur (400 before).

  My new K(3) arrived today, awesome. Setup and sync’d all my profiles, settings and routes. used the QR code to verify Hammerhead Account access. Was easy and fast. All I have to do now is pair up my sensors, will be done for tomorrows ride. Companion app connection was simple, paired and provided a new Live Tracking Link. 

  Hardest thing was attaching the tether, HeHe. If you install the tether from the rights side hole the loop slides right around and out the left side hole.

  

  K(3) came with 60% batter (per regulations I believe) been charging for about an hour, currently 99% charge.

  Can’t wait to ride tomorrow ..
