Campion App for Karoo 2
Looks like the new Karoo doesn't require wifi when paired with the new campion app. Will the karoo 2 receive an update to work with the new app? It's an awfully expensive device to just abandon.
Is Hammerhead considering an upgrade, trade in route for the new device?
I just bought the 2 a few months ago, Man I hate tech sometimes. lol

I’m also really frustrated by this. I even asked hammerhead if they were planning to come out with an app in the future and was told no. While i understand that technically their response was true, I can’t help feeling slightly cheated here.
I also bought a 2 about two months ago. Just outside the return window. They should really have an upgrade or trade in program!

This is frustrating, dissapointing and customer unfriendly.
I've had the Karoo 1 and now the 2. Very satisfied with it so far.
But since SRAM owns Hammerhead, the customer experience is becoming progressively worse.
And this is the latest set back. Not able to connect with the Karoo 2 with the companion app, are you kidding?
What a joke...

It is a joke. I know a lot of folks don't care about this stuff, frankly I don't care that much. But this is an expensive device that won't download anything while away from wifi so I was super excited about the app. Unless I'm just doing it wrong, that's possible. They are still issuing updates but it's still abandoned as far as I'm concerned.
For what it's worth, I demoed the new one at my LBS and while we were looking at it, the screen fell out of the housing.
As my Wahoo using wife said, "you just had to have that fancy Hammerhead, how's that working out with the dead battery?"
I'm not going to spend any more energy on this stupidity and I won't buy another one.
