On the new Karoo under settings just below the Display button called Home Background. There are several different ones to pick and what seems to be a place to search for optional pictures. I changed mine to one of the ones listed but have not had time to play around with the feature.

Thank you! I did not find, because it seems a Karoo 3 exclusive feature. (I'm on a Karoo 2 now)

Thanks from me too, Wayne, for the answer. I was wondering myself where I could change the background image. Since the last update I have this kind of late autumn background where a cyclist in late autumn clothes is climbing up a wooden hill in a cloudy, wet and cold looking environment. This doesn't look very animating in my eyes even in winter, even less when summer is just starting like here in Europe (or NA). I for one would prefer to at least have a choice of a few different background images (I don't have to create one myself).

But imo this is where the sad future story of the K2 begins, if Hammerhead (just like Garmin and Wahoo) decides not to implement small convenient features in the old device that would be easily possible on the hardware and software side (because you can change a wallpaper/background-image on Android 8).

By the way, I still think it's a shame that the K2 never got a newer Android version.

Have the K2 - would be nice to swap image. How is it done on K3? Via App?

Martin, not using the App as of yet but one can be hopeful that they add ability at some point ... "Wish List" . On the new Karoo under Settings just below the Display button called Home Background, there are a few to pick from now but looks like there is a way to go get additional pic's but I have not had to time to explore that yet.

Just confirming that my K2 does NOT have this option, even though the HH help article says this feature is available for the K2.

HH update that page 2 hours after you posted. It now reads "This feature is only available on the (new) Karoo." 🙄

The use of Unsplash for loading backgrounds needs to be reassessed.

    1) After uploading an image to that service, I was unable to locate it using the K3 search

    2) Two days after uploading the image, Unsplash emailed me saying they'd removed the image as it didn't meet their guidelines. wtf. It was my company logo.

SRAM/HH - Please consider allowing people to upload wallpaper images from your HH companion app. It'll remove the utter cluster fk that is Unsplash.

Shane (Big Fan - Love your videos mate); hope this might help? :)

Popular types of raster files include JPEG, PNG, and GIF images. However, because their pixel number is fixed, raster images can become distorted or blurry when resized to fill a bigger or smaller space. Unplash guidelines state "We currently only accept vectorized SVG files. We cannot accept .eps, .ai, .pdf, or any raster file types.". Additionally: File size requirements: Maximum file size: 50 MB, Minimum art board size: The shortest edge must be no less than 1500 pixels. These perameters must all be met, otherwise they will likely "removed the image as it didn't meet their guidelines".

Looking to convert your raster file type to SVG for free? The try here: https://www.adobe.com/express/feature/image/convert/svg

    Ride on!
