North Up now broken further
North Up view has long been fairly broken on the Karoo (see multiple posts on the forum), since the inappropriately low y-axis offset of the arrow meant that if you were going south you could only see a few pixels between the arrow and the pop-up boxes. This was particularly problematic when riding South.
As of a couple of weeks ago, the y-axis offset of the arrow (at least on the Karoo 2) has lowered further value and now it is *entirely* obscured by pop-up boxes. As soon as a pop-up appears I cannot see where I am or where I am going.
This almost saw me miss a dangerous turn going downhill at speed yesterday as I had no idea where I was supposed to turn.
Is there any likelihood that will be fixed? It's been raised several time over several years, but now that it's become actively dangerous, I feel compelled to raise it as a problem again.

Yes, this is bad behaviour. I think that for "North up" the Arrow should be in the middle of the screen. For "ride direction" orientation I can see that having the arrow on the bottom makes sense, but for north up it is really bad when going south (which I always do for almost half of the ride).
I feel that none of the developers or testers ever ride with "north up" since it took ages until it was implemented (almost the entire lifespan of the original Karoo) and was done so poorly.

Regrettably, the Karoo is, right now, dangerous to use in north-up mode if you're travelling south in an unfamiliar area. Hammerhead haven't yet acknowledged this despite multiple people pointing it out over several years. It's doubly unfortunate because this is the only flaw in the Karoo I've encountered -- it's otherwise an excellent device!

I find it a bit weird that the position of the cursor is different depending on the map layout. It should be an easy fix to put the cursor in the middle (vertical height minus height of non-map fields) for north-up or at some lower position for rotating navigation. I would also appreciate to have the map/cursor move when a navigation prompt/cue shows up. It is ridiculous (drawer) that the cue hides the position. Sorry to say this, but it makes the impression on me that these features and behavior or not properly tested (in the fields by actual users).

North-up is also extra broken since a couple of months in that the only indication of the orientation is the way the compass arrow points (earlier it used to disappear with north-up). Since the street where I often remember to start my activity is heading practically straight north, I have absolutely no way of telling if the orientation change went through or not, unless I keep looking at the screen for long enough to see if the map still keeps turning or not. As a minimum, the arrow should look very different depending on the orientation (like the lock icon does now thank you).
And yet again yet again, I’d much rather handle this via a configurable default rather than have to change it manually for every single ride.
