Feature request: Make map orientation icon clearer
Since the ~last update, the map orientation icon seems to be there all the time (instead of disappearing when you select north-is-up). I guess that’s okay, but now it is pretty much impossible to tell with a quick glance what the state is, especially if your finger is still sort of obstructing the icon because you’re not sure if your first press worked (even more so when wearing full-finger gloves, of course).
The compass arrow doesn’t have high contrast and to see if it is moving (and the map turning), you have to keep looking at the screen for several seconds. Basically the same problem as with the lock icon before the redesign. So, pretty please, make the two states more distinctive (different background colour, maybe a different arrow design as well).
(Or, of course, you could just finally give us configurable default orientation and zoom level options...)
