    No, would not comply with German regulations, bells have to be mechanical. But for a roadbike I wouldn't care to much about it.
    Anyway, the Karoo cannot play mp3, it has only a beeper installed. In my opinion a beeping sound would be too irritating for pedestrians.

    in Austria its allowed, the main reason for me because there the sheriff is much more critical than germans

    CloseTheGap HideMyBell, the bike bell under the bike computer mount.
    Life can be so simple.

    This is already possible with a Di2 bike and Karoo 2. The Karoo beeper can kind of simulate a bell sound.

    In Spain the police are beginning to sanction for not having a bell on bicycles. Legally, the mandatory one must be mechanical, but for now some agents are accepting the electronic one that is integrated into devices such as the Garmin Edge 1050. The sanctions for not wearing it are expensive, so we should consider installing a bell on our bikes, and better if it is mechanical.

    @Jim C,

    It's a great improvement, but it's still not compatible with K3.
    Anyway, I'd like to see how it sounds.
    Thank you.
