out-and-back rides reset at the halfway point on the return leg

My last two rides have been out-and-back routes.  All is well until the exactly at the halfway point of the return.  At that point the total miles starts ridden starts going backward, and the average mph starts climbing through the roof.  It records that the total trip was half of what it actually was, and average mph is, like 45 mph (I only go 11 or 12 on the average ride).

This looks like this bug was introduced in the last month or so.
