POI for Komoot routes
When I create local POI for a Komoot route in the HH dashboard, then slightly modify the route in Komoot, and re-sync the Komoot routes, those local POI are gone. Of course, I could create global POI, but that makes no sense for POI which are meaningless to other routes. And it would also lead to the next problem: POI are not protected against accidental changes, the risk of such changes is even higher for global POI. Am I doing something wrong? @HH: could this please be changed, so that these local POI are kept? They may be unattractive in case of massive route changes, but that's acceptable. Second question: do you plan to improve the POI management, e.g. with a special edit mode for POI, and allow POI changes only if this mode is entered?

Hi Udo,
We are sorry to hear about your experience. We have tested this issue and we understand your experience which is not ideal for the most riders. We will share your experience with the Product team. The temporary workaround that we suggest you is to duplicate the Route from the Dashboard and make the edits from the Dashboard. In this case, the POI's will be preserved. We do have plans to improve the POI management and have set actions plans to avoid accidental editing/making changes to POI's when trying to edit the Route.
We do not have an exact timeline to share with you at this given time but this is something in Product team's radar. -
Hi Vishnu,
Thanks for the feedback. I use Komoot for the route creation and editing because there is more detailed information especially about MTB trails, with comments and fotos from other riders. The HH dashboard map is too basic for MTB route planning.
So the workaround does not really help, let's wait for the improvements.

Udo, I described process I'm using for Komoot POIs + Karoo in another thread, it's not easy but works: https://support.hammerhead.io/hc/en-us/community/posts/360038374193/comments/26148893769627
