YES, it was my first thought.

More screen estate for the map is completely pointless if it only shows more of the map that is behind you.

Having the turn notification below the data fields is also really horrible. Intentions seem good but execution is horrible.

Reminds me of this previous conversation on the placement of the yellow marker: https://support.hammerhead.io/hc/en-us/community/posts/9056949265051-Repost-Arrow-Marker-Position-multiple-positions-see-more-road-ahead

Lower the center would be nice. Maybe it’s just a gimmick.

I prefer the current position of the arrow (slightly below the centre), as I am usually exploring without a loaded route and therefore also want to see the part from which I'm coming to check the main direction of my ride. The Wahoos for example have the arrow very close to the bottom and for me it takes longer to check my position and course there.

But that are personal preferences and so a solution to set the preferred position of the arrow would be very welcome.

It should be possible as it is already kind of implemented somehow: if you position four data fields on top of the map screen, the arrow is very close to the bottom and seems to stay there during the ride if you hide the data fields with the new extra button. With two data field on the top it is bit lower than in the centre. Only all the icons (compass, unlock ...) remain in their lower position (which can be a bit irritating).

Maybe Hammerhead can find a way to offer this as an option in the settings or profiles to meet the needs of different users.

Great to see HH working on this. Really mportant to get teh arrow positioning right as it is the main thing you look at during ride.

Yes - it seems you can solve the problem by placing the data fields in the upper half... that works for me!
