There is a lot of unused space on the sides next to the next turn symbol. I would like this field to be stretched to the full width and for the name of the next street/road to be displayed in it. If the name is too long, it can be shortened to as many characters as you can enter without reducing the font size.

In addition to the functionality of this field, in the case of no next turn for e.g. 1km, I would rather have the name of the street/road I am driving on in this place than information that the next turn will be in 3km.

Below are a few examples of what this would look like.

 

Next turn - take left.

1st exit or street name.

Street name - if it to long is a short.

  That's a great suggestion. It would be great if Hammerhead would implement that.

  I concur. Additionally, it's redundant to display (using your example) a left arrow and the words "turn left".
