Radar alert sounds too intrusive.
CompletedHave Hammerhead acknowledged the issue with the radar alerts being too intrusive? Can there be an option to choose the alert sound so that it does not beep incessantly in traffic. The standard alert consists of multiple beeps so when more than one vehicle is detected it seems to end up beeping continuously. A single tone would be sufficient.
Note this is not a request to lower the volume - the volume is fine, it is the fact that the alert tone has multiple beeps. Thanks

I installed https://github.com/itxsvv/kxradar mainly to reduce the volume as the alert is obscenely loud, but it also fixes the issue the the HH unit would loop the alert sound like you describe

That's all well and good but just demonstrates how easy it would be for Hammerhead to fix it properly. In addition the kxradar app requires that the factory sounds are disabled which then puts a "slash" through the icon on the screen indicating it's disabled and that is irritating and unsightly; not to mention that I shouldn't need to install an application that presents a warning about permanent damage to the device when installing.
Hammerhead just need to provide a better thought out set of tones for the radar - it's not hard and a pretty poor implementation on a £400 device. It's as if the developers have never actually ridden a bike with a Karoo on. Incidentally. I have no problem with the volume itself - in fact I like it loads better than the K2.

I previewed the tones sitting at my kitchen table last night. I suppose the only real proof will be an actual ride. The "preview" they all sound quieter, and honestly I can barely tell the difference between the 3. Tomorrow will be an actual test and I hope the new short and quiet is really short and quiet. Although I AM satisified with the extension version, that is acceptable, but I would rather have a HH solution becasue then I know it will not break anything else in the code. I'm hoping this closes the saga for good
