Compatibility with Quarq TyreWiz?
AnsweredCompatibility with Quarq TyreWiz?
I think tyreWiz are Ant+ sensors. It's possible to add data fields for compatibility with this sensors? Thanks Karoo!

Another vote for TyreWiz compatibility/support here.
Would be awesome to support TyreWiz. I don't own TyreWiz yet but might be tempted to if the Karoo is updated to support it. I don't see why I should buy a SRAM eTap groupset just to be able to take advantage of this in their phone app.
Must Have:
Display current pressures (front and rear - not sure tricycle support is required yet!)
Should have:
Enable rider to specify a range of high and low pressure to maintain (front and rear)
Provide rider with an early warning - using audible alert - when the tyre pressure drops by a preset percentage/below specific pressure range
This early warning could be the difference between a tubeless tyre becoming unseated and the rider being able to stop and rescue the situation with a quick blast of air before the tyre becomes unseated.
Could have:
Provide an audible alert to let you know when you've inflated your tyre to a pre-defined pressure (perfect for when you can't see the screen of your Karoo whilst using a mini pump or CO2 cartridge at ground level).

@all, Thanks for letting us know the need for Quarq TyreWiz for the Karoo.
I have taken it to our Product team to see how they prioritize it. However, I can not commit to the timeline as of now but will certainly announce once and if we are ready with this.
@Steve - I really appreciate you for taking your time and sharing your detailed thoughts on the must-have, should have and could have's of the TyreWiz.

+1 once again. An updated statement from Hammerhead would be a nice touch. I appreciate that Hammerhead is closing gaps by adding Climber and now most recently Laps. However, adding support for TyreWiz would remove a clear disadvantage for all those who are migrating to the Karoo 2 from Wahoo or Garmin.

Was just told from Hammerhead support that while this is a feature they have on their to-do list, "the Tyrewiz sensor is not in our immediate plans." Interpret that however you like. Unfortunately, for me, it's the difference between keeping and returning. Sadly I am in the category of consumer that is waiting for X feature before buying, and they are getting there, I really do think this is a head unit that has huge potential. Just not sure when. Maybe Wahoo updates their roam this spring, who knows.

I opened the post 2 years ago (a lot of time). Already sold my Karoo seeing that this functionality would never arrive (and neither would the compatibility with Garmin Remote Control, although I understand that it is not possible anyway and I would assume it, but I have TyreWiz in 2 bikes).
I will come back if they release a karoo 3 with a bit more screen and less bezels (and hopefully a little more battery).Karoo has a chance to become a best seller from SRAM. I hope they don't miss the opportunity.

Ok, now that SRAM has bought Hammerhead... Can we please get the SRAM/Quark Tyrewiz sensors integrated with the Karoo 2 !!! How difficult can it be to simply read and display the data from two simple pressure sensors?! This is very frustrating! I'm a new Karoo 2 owner and this is extremely bothersome for me. I'm in Michigan and currently do a lot of fat tire bike riding and racing on snow and ice, the tire pressures we run are very low (like 5-7 PSI) and are very critical to bike performance on soft surfaces like snow. To further complicate matters the pressures can fluctuate a great deal with changes in temperature and need to be constantly monitored and checked, to make this easier I had already invested in TyreWiz sensors. It's seems like such a no brainer these should just work with Karoo and they do with Garmin and Wahoo. I didn't even consider the possibility that my existing Tyrewiz sensors would not work before I recently switched over from Wahoo to Hammerhead. The rest of my experience has been great with the Karoo 2, I really love the device in general! This issue just seems like a ridiculous oversight and shouldn't really be that difficult to correct. Come on Hammerhead!! Please make the software tweaks to support the sensors and get tire pressure fields added!!

… I already emigrated to Wahoo. It seems like Hammerhead isn’t able to add this feature to the K2. Unless they are already working on the K3 and probably this TyreWiz feature will be found in it…just like “some companies” do with their phones. Once you think you have a “great product”, something is missing, and probably you will find it in the next generation/version….🤷🏻♂️
Nevertheless I thank Hammerhead. Great cycling computer, but there is always one thing or two that can be a disappointment.
