Can someone tell if the Odometer  only counts the rides that are saved?

If that is the case then wouldn't it be logical for it to  run independently in the background and clock total miles one has ridden (not the total mileage of saved rides) as some people (like me) are not very keen on saving every short ride they do , but would prefer to know how much they have ridden in total?

Any thoughts?

  Hi Aram,

  The distance covered will be recorded during the activity but without saving the activity, you won't be able to keep a record of it unlink other Odemters in Vehicles. At the same, I will be more than happy to forward this suggestion to the software team.

  Thanks for clarifying... in my opinion it would be reasonable to have that ability (i have that function on my current basic cycle computer Cateye Velo 7 as it helps me to understand how many miles i get out of a pair of new tires or a chain - if Karoo  had that function available I would be able to scrap the old one )))) ... ). Thanks for suggesting to pass this suggestion to  your software team.

  Perhaps the saved ride distances can be linked to a bike profile and another independent odometer will register distance of all saved and not saved rides?
