When the small padlock icon is open it could change colour the help see your have clicked it correctly, it hard to see when riding

  This suggestion, although a simple fix, has still not been implemented so I'm going to put in a change request. A better solution is to change one icon altogether, such as a hand icon  in an unlocked state, so you can tell at a glance whether the map is locked.

  So, to review the current deployment and hammer home the point, the lock icon is 3 mms wide. The difference between the open and closed shackles that separates the two icons is 1 mm. Yes, I can see that -- at a desk, with good light, and with reading glasses -- but that's am infinitesimal difference for a moving biker.  

  At this point, it's just a toggle.
