Hi,

why there is no possibility to see/load a map without GPS signal?

Normally it should be loaded with cached position (i.e. last position Karoo recorded): unaccurate position, but at least in this scenario I can "play" with the map already, even if (in background) device is getting the new position.

Is there a specific hw/sw or logical choice behind not showing maps at all unless GPS fix is ok?

  Hey Matteo. Sorry for any inconvenience. We had decided on the current implementation because sometimes when you turn on your Karoo, you might be in a new location which is not close to your last cached location. A fine example of this would be when you are on vacation and you turn on your Karoo after landing in a new country. We do however understand your concern for allowing the option of exploring the downloaded maps without getting a GPS fix. I will forward this as a customer request to the Product team.
