Hey John I will definitely forward your request to the Product Team.
Just to clarify a bit more, it isn’t so much about the urgency, but more of the work required from different teams. That is what we are doing right now. We follow a structured workflow to pull a feature into the software pipeline. This involves discovering the Pros and Cons from competitors, researching from customer interviews, designing and then when all these are finalized, it will be moved to development.
We prioritise each feature based on the number of user requests, impact on current customer base, usability, market value etc. We are already looking into it, but as we have informed you, the timeline isn’t available for us to share. I do not want to promise something that we can’t deliver on time, and would rather be happy to announce timelines or apps as they are ready.
Have a nice day. Stay safe.

I also have a RTL515 and UT800. Just got my K2 yesterday and sold my Garmin Edge. The light network was nice and convenient when transitioning from day to dusk to dark. I have recently learned that both the RTL515 and UT800 have buttons on them that let one put them into different solid or flashing modes, and this is a fine short-term solution when the alternative is not using a K2.

as if it worked properly 🙄 on my edge unit, I switched auto brightness off (had to put black tape over the light sensor 😂) because my lights would switch to the lowest setting each time I pass under a lamp post... for some reason, on my (nightly) commute, lampposts are often placed right before an intersection or pothole, which themselves are not lit! Hence, the auto thing was actually rather dangerous as it would be dark all of a sudden at the worst moment...
as an alternative, I found out controlling manually with a remote (Bontrager Transmitr) works beautifully with all Ant+ lights, and I can lower my beam when someone comes in front of me so I don't blind them (yeah, many insult me if I don't, guess my lights are a bit strong 😅), put flash mode when coming from behind pedestrians (more efficient than using a bell for some reason) and even control my lights when I don't have the head unit on.
