Importing routes from Google Chrome Maps

I find it very useful to be able to save bike routes from Google Chrome Maps to the Dashboard. What is somewhat troubling is that the routes that are imported/saved from Chrome Maps are not the routes that I have chosen. You can see that I want the dark blue northern route thru the A7 but what Karoo imported was the southern route - the dark blue is what I wanted but the red route that you can see in the Karoo window, and which shows up as the very light blue route, 12 h 40 min, on the Google Maps screen is what was imported. Any ideas on how to fix/make/correct this so that what I want is what is imported?

  Hey William. Sorry for the trouble here. Our maps are based off Open Street Maps similar to many route making websites. Google, however, uses its own maps and we officially do not suggest making routes on Google Maps to import into the Dashboard. If you are looking for more detailed route-making than our dashboard allows, we recommend that you try RideWithGPS or Komoot.
