New update and Map/Data Screen
Answeredthere are many new options to arrange the data fields on the screen, but as many users already mentioned before it's still too rigid. Why can't you just implement an Excel stile data sheet where you can arrange, size and fill each cell individually(including font size, arrangement and background/font colour)
It's wired, that with some data screen the obvious bigger data fields do contain small font sizes than the others.
Why the heel can I arrange a map screen with data fields on top of the screen, but not at he bottom?
I'm not interested where I was already, but where I'm going to.
In the current configuration the top of the screen is truncated, with the result that there is less space for the route I'm heading to, but enough space for the route I'm coming from ;-)
Why can't I configure more than one Map screen?
And last but no least and a really minor thing ;-)
Who the hell did decide to replace the awesome start-up animation with the new boring one?
The previous start-up animation was an eye catcher for my friends when they saw it the first time and at the end the entry point to look closer into the capabilities of the Karoo.
Best regards

Hi Bjoern, Thank you for sharing your valuable feedback and constructive criticism. As you know, the software project that we are working on with regards to UI/UX on Karoo is incremental and you will see better customizable options in the coming months. I understand that you are not happy with the new boot animations and I will definitely share your feedback with the Product team for further review.

Dear Hari,
yes, I know and many new features and improvements have been implemented already in the past.
But I'm not sure if the concept of the predefined screen layouts is the right one and not a dead end.
A more flexible approach like with the mentioned Excel like spread sheets where the user can define the layout might be more future oriented.
Just imagine, the user could place a data field anywhere on any screen, resize it and move it around. You could place a speed field on the right side of the map for instance where it does not interferer with the map information.
I'm quite sure, Android in combination with a touch screen offers unlimited options if it come to GUI.
Implementing a flexible layout system where the user can place, size and format fields according to his her needs will also be open for future major OS AND HW updates.
Best regards
Björn
