Hi Dinyar, Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with us.
I will forward this to the product team. It will be picked up and prioritized based on the number of user requests for this particular feature.

I have the same lights, Bontrager Ion RT and Flare RT, and would be great if they can be controlled, or just powered on/off automatically when you start/stop riding. +1

I am interested in controlling the Bontraguer lights. Hopefully the Karoo2 controls them. Thank you

I have pre-ordered the Karoo 2 (October batch!). I too have the Bontrager BT lights, and would love the integration as mentioned above. I run them with the BT turned off, but if the K2 can control them like a Garmin does, I will definitely turn on the BT.

    Really looking forward to October!

I bought the Bontrager Flare flight set and was a little bit disappointed that my Hammerhead does not support the feature!

I would love it if your engineers will update the software and add compatibility!

Thank you very much in advance!

Plus one for this too. I currently connect my See Sense lights to my Garmin but would love to see this on the Karoo 2 as well,

Yes , that would be good . I would have thought that you would at least be able to "see" the lights when finding a sensor - but i cant even get it to do that.

I'm definitely in favor of elevating ANT+ light support in the Karoo backlog. I have both a K1 and K2, have bought Varia radar  lights and would like to add Varia headlights. Is that coming in the near future?

Yup, also an incredibly important feature to me. Love how my Varia radar light is able to adjust brightness + pattern based on time of day / light sensor from my Edge. Sorely missing it on the Karoo 2 after only 1 or 2 rides. Silly as it may sounds its something which is making me consider returning the Karoo inside the 45 days and going back to the Edge despite the lovely screen and navigation. If we could get a timeline on this feature that would certainly help @Ashish Kuttappa.

@Judah. Do you have the Headlight as well as the Radar?  Control over a the lights has been a Garmin issue as well and configuring both headlight and taillight/radar an issue there. configuration is also harder when multiple bikes or trainers are involved. DCRainmaker is the extreme example.

@all: I see that this request is what has a higher number of users who can be benefited. I will certainly take this to our Product team to see how they prioritize it. Nonetheless, I can not commit to the timeline when this will be available but hoping it to be sometime early in the Q1 of 2021. However, when it does we will certainly announce on our blogs, forums and social media channels.

I wish you and your team a happy new year! Looking forward to complete my Karoo II order and perhaps enjoying this feature next autumn or winter season to control my to Bontrager lights! :)

+1 - just got my Karoo 2 and setting it up, realise there is no way to control my Garmin radar RTL 515 unless i've missed something / haven't searched successfully...

Ali, I believe Mark was asking about being able to CONTROL the light rather than just display the warnings? The Karoo 2 still does not support the Ant+ lighting profile and so can't change the lighting mode or turn it on or off.

I believe I'm right in saying that the device will never be able to automatically adjust the light mode based on ambient lighting conditions due to its lack of light sensor - unlike the Karoo 1?

yes, as I stated I would like to CONTROL the light. I'm not even bothered about the lack of automatic adjustment due to no sensor but to be able to control light levels and flash/constant manually, as I can on my Edge. To be clear, i had already figured out how to connect the light as a radar (didn't really need instructions fortunately, i just connected everything as sensors like my power meter, speed sensor etc.)

I see my mistake here.. I did not see a mention of 'Light' and thought only about the radar. Ant+ light control has been planned for this year, much early.
