Could you give more details on what are the differences between the Karoo1 and karoo2?

such as Size of Unit (dimensions)

Screen Size

Type of Screen

Weight

Details regaring the cellular chip -- will we need to add another phone to our cell plan?  (or would something like a tablet plan work).

  One of the best features of the  Karoo 1 was the large map display.Since the Karoo 2 screen is smaller  it appears that the map display will be smaller. Also, in all of the example photos of the Karoo 2, the map screen shares a large portion of the real estate (perhaps a third of the screen) with a display of speed, distance, elapsed time, clock time and battery level.

  Please tell me that the map screen is configurable so that I can customize the screen to maximize the map display.

  Brent. Looking at the current use of the SIM card in the K1, a data only card should be fine. I use Google Fi and they send a data only SIM with no charge and with no additional monthly fee (just uses the the data already in my plan). I can't imagine that Hammerhead would turn the K2 into an android cellphone (that would kinda require they add Google Play Services, which is something they have stated they are avoiding). So, any new feature they would add would only use the data "pipe."
