Hi Anders, question from my side:
Is Garmin the calibration standard for measurements?
Maybe HH uses an other way to calculate?

Hope you all are doing well.

Currently, Karoo does not consider zero averaging when it comes to speed, cadence, or Power calculation, unlike Garmin. This is something we are looking to tackle in the next few months as we realize that zero averaging would be a valuable feature for us to add.

Let me try to explain zero averaging with the help of an example.

For a 60 second time period, you coast for 30 seconds and pedal at 100 rpm for the other 30 seconds.

    • With 0 averaging, your average cadence would be 50.
    • If 0 averaging is not considered, your average cadence would be 100.

The same is applicable for Speed and Power.

Thank you for the answer. I think it is the correct aprroach to implement it soon, so the Karoo will perhaps have a broader appeal to the cyclist looking for a capable training tool as it possess a lot of features that are very good for training purposes. Where I personally think that the average power calculation is the only major miss.
