Varia radar detects every movement behind you that is faster then your own speed. So the only thing the bar on the left side of the Karoo shows is that there is something faster behind you, whether it is on the left, right behind you or on the right.

So what is the issue then? The position of the bar is not related to the position of the faster vehicle behind you.

If you are in a country with left driving, I guess you are used to the fact cars will mostly pass you on the right side. I cannot imagine that the fact of having the bar on the left side, makes you look suddenly over your left shoulder.

There are lots of requests that are more urgent to solve.

Pretty sure I didn't say I had an issue, was just saying that the option to choose would be great having ridden with it for a few weeks. Didn't ask for the entire dev backlog to be changed, and clearly I understand the concept of prioritisation.

Surprised this hasn't come up more. I have recently moved across from a Garmin 840 and previously a wahoo bolt. On both these devices you can choose which side of the screen the radar appears. In the UK having the radar on the left feels very strange. It's a big step back compared to my previous devices.

I don't know about you but I read from the left to the right putting that on the right is silly but if you wish it then you should be able to do this silly thing. Now I have asked HH to be able to have it on all the time like it was first on my K1 but they will not I think that I should able to switch it to my needs and that to me is for my safety as my rides are shorter these days at my age of 79 plus.

It's nothing to do with reading left to right. On the left it feels like traffic is coming up the left hand side, and vice versa on the right hand side.

On my Garmin and wahoo whenever I went abroad I would switch it.

It is with me and all UK traffic is on the left-hand side of the roads.

There's a reason both of the other major platforms have this. Whether you personally want to use it or not, it is a missing feature that these other platforms have.

Just another missing feature to add to a growing list ...
