Re-routing does not abide by selected surface type

I've been riding with routes on my last couple of rides and needed to leave the route a couple of times. The Karoo is trying to re-route me, but it offers totally unsuitable options (like single trail or gravel) when I'm using my road bike. In the bike profile I use, I set "paved" for (re-)routing. Guess this is some bug when re-routing only, because it works just fine when, e.g., I am not on a route and select "to start" in the routing menu.

  One part of the problem seems to be that highway=track without surface tag seems to be interpreted as asphalt. I reported this last year:
