Never had any issues with the Brotect glass protectors on my K2. After 3 years no scratches, lifting or edge chipping. I went gloss for contrast and clarity but the reflections can be annoying. I might try matte if I ever need to replace but with the Karoo already having a matte screen I didn't know if adding a matte protector would make legibility worse.

Gloss and matte are available for the K3, super easy to install without fear of air bubbles.

I have a matte one from Brotect, and I really think about changing to glossy/transparent, because I feel legibility can be really poor. I am slightly scared about reflections, though.

If you have your HH mounted flat, horizontal to the ground, you will have lots of sky reflections with a gloss protector. I have mine mounted at a slight angle facing me to minimise sky reflections. This is not an aero position but for me that is not a priority,

Thanks for your feedback on the matte version, it is what i thought so will not change.

Thanks for your insight and experience. I have tilted the mount a bit upwards (as much as possible) and that has improved the visibility of the matte protection a bit. I was running at 10% background light, which was quite good. I will test again over the weekend. I am still thinking about the transparent version, if I still find things to dull.
