Karoo 2 logs elevation data when doing an indoor ride

Why does the Karoo 2 log elevation data during an indoor ride?
The profile is set to "indoor", so GPS is disabled.
I guess the barometer is still active.

It's weird to see elevation gain for an indoor ride in the dashboard and on other platforms.

Is this just happening with my unit, or is it a common issue?
