is there a future request timeline?
My assumption, since day 1 has been (note: I have never worked in anything software related) that customer requests are logged, compiled, and somewhere are placed in a timeline to discuss implementation.
As a consumer, I have to have faith that the product development team is trying to add requested features.
Other than a product that will not do calorie burn by HR, which to this day still baffles me how that ever got voted down, I'd have to say HH has been pretty good to excellent with updates.
Until, that is they throw the curveball that just makes you wonder. I just cannot accept that music or media on a bicycle head unit is a thing. Perhaps I should rephrase, I believe it is a thing, I just cannot believe looking down the list of features that have been requested just on these message boards that a media controls ranked that high on the list.
Maybe I'm spoiled by the rolling resistance site where members get to vote on what gets tested and you can clearly see popularity rankings. I'd like to think development works the same way.
Are there really that many people that want a media control on their head unit?
I'm happy people got what they wanted, I really am, but seriously............ just SMH and move along. Doesn't hurt me in the least, it's just a head scratcher. Running? rowing, sure..... but cycling??
oh well at least it's done, someone is happy, and something else just got queued up

I guess it depends on the company and their process. There are a lot of things to be considered (frequency of same feature request, ideas of the product and dev teams, competitors, etc.). I think that Wahoo has media control and so does probably Garmin; thus, HH went ahead and added this. I haven't used this nor plan I to do so. Thus, I am with you (there are so many small things that could be implemented or improved, but this may never happen, as media playback is a "bigger ticket" item).
