Same for me. Especially when you ride a long distance segment and your battery is not that full anymore...

And don´t forgett to set the radar line over the segment ;-)

    Thank you!

    Hey Larry,

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner.

I would like to inform you that with the Battery saver mode ON, the display is turned back on automatically when key events occur. Eg:
    1. TbT Instructions
    2. Cars approaching when paired with a RADAR
    3. Starting a Strava Live Segment

It is certainly not a bug however has been designed to let the rider know about the riding segment or next turn or navigation instruction. It also acts as one of the safety measures on the Karoo to keep the rider informed about the traffic when riding with radar. With these three features on a ride, the screen will turn back on even when in saver mode.

But, I am sure these features will not drain much battery charge.

    hey abhishek,

no worries about the delayed response.

i want to ensure we have complete understanding here.  because my question has not really been answered for me.

if i am in battery saver mode, and i start a strava live segment, the screen comes back on.  ok, great!  that is by design.  perfect.  i have zero problem with that.

but now i am ON a strava live segment, lets say it is for me ~30 minute segment; there is no way for the screen to turn off and stay off when i am on that live segment.  if i manually turn the screen off, it will come back on in a couple of seconds.  when it does, i have NOT started a strava live segment, i am already on a strava live segment.  which is not one of your 3  key events that you have enumerated.

so, in my experience, just being ON a strava live segment is a continuous key event, which means the screen can not go off.  and if you are telling me this is by design, i would change the design.  because you have already alerted me about being on a strava live segment.  i got it. now, i want to turn the screen off.  why i want to turn the screen off is really besides the point.  you do not let me.  i think that is a flaw and wrong.  the key event has already passed.  now give me back control of my device and do not override what i want to do.

    does that make sense?

    best.

    Larry says what I think:

"but now i am ON a strava live segment, lets say it is for me ~30 minute segment; there is no way for the screen to turn off and stay off when i am on that live segment.  if i manually turn the screen off, it will come back on in a couple of seconds.  when it does, i have NOT started a strava live segment, i am already on a strava live segment.  which is not one of your 3  key events that you have enumerated."

Maybe you can give us an additional option to let the screen been activated when we´re on a segment or not?!
    Thank you.
