Audio alerts only when off route

Is it possible to only get audio alerts when leaving the route? I could turn on the audio alert for tbt navigation but then i get beeps every few seconds / for every turn which is really annoying. If I m on a bikepacking trip I just want to follow the route and I just want an aa when I m off route and not for every turn

  Hey Daniel,

  The Karoo currently does not support selective Turn-by-Turn alerts during the ride. I will ensure to share this post with my team for their reference. Based on the number of users upvoting this feature it will be prioritized as an implementation in our future releases :)

  Agree 100% to have option of audio alerts off route only. Setting to allow that is needed.

  I also want this. In both completely unknown routes or (particularly) in routes that I do regularly, I'd rather have the Karoo beep only when I'm off track.

  What happend to this request?
  We now have Karoo 3 and is still not possible to get alerted when leaving the route only...

  Hi Peter, it is possible to get audio alerts when offroute when using Breadcrumb navigation when the Turn instructions are disabled. If you are following a route, then you will receive the turn notifications and off route cues both.

  I would like to emphasize this topic again.
  As Ali pointed out, there is a workaround using the breadcrumb navigation.
  However, the issue with this solution is that there’s no navigation back to the route. So, the initial request is still valid, and I would really appreciate having this feature.
  I believe it could be easily integrated into the profile settings for audio alerts—simply add a field to enable audio alerts only when off-route, while still allowing the option to disable turn-by-turn audio alerts.
  I would appreciate if that feature could be brought to the developer’s attention.
