Any type will work as long as it can connect. It only sends data to the Karoo. And the Karoo only displays the data.

Getting it to stay connected is another matter.

    Hey Simon,

I can understand the frustration with the power meter connections on the Karoo. I would like to let you know that we are rolling out an update today which carries a major improvement on the ANT+ services that manage the connections between the Karoo & power meters in specific. This update should result in faster, more stable, and more accurate data streaming with your Karoo! :)

Touch wood my speccy branded single sided power crank has very rarely suffered from drop outs!

I use 4iiii and have had zero issues in 3 months. That's just my experience using it 6 or 7 days a week.

@Akhil: My connectivity to the power meter had always worked until the latest software release. Factory reset?

Annoyingly, after months of no issues... my Spesh branded Power meter (4iii single sided Ultegra) failed to send cadence data on two rides this week. I simply couldn't get it to show anything but power on my K2. Worked fine again yesterday though - Don't understand... but putting this here. I am always on the latest update.

I have been on backorder for a Quarq Dfour and 165mm crank set since April... hope that works fine when i eventually get it!
