First test and impressions compared to Garmin 830

Hi all,

Yesterday I was able to do an extensive test with the K2. The first points compared to my Garmin 830:

• no spoken navigation instructions over my earphones via telephone app;
• No pop-up with map at navigation indication;
• No auto-lap timer possible, only manual;
• Screen is not nearly as bright as promised (marketing) even with a white background;
• High battery usage without connection of WiFi/telephone.

All in all, I'm going to reconsider whether this is a keeper, after all, there is a 45-day trial ''guarantee'' on the product.

  Are there points BETTER than Garmin 830?

  I don't suppose there's any chance of an auto lap function coming to the Karoo 2 before August 20 when I do a 40km ride as part of a triathlon relay?

  No, didn't think so. In that case, the Garmin 830 will be on the bike that day.
