    People have had mixed experience with using the Hammerhead Garmin adapter with Garmin mounts, but there's also https://www.racewaredirect.co - they sell adapters to make allow you to use the K2 with almost any mount.

    Hi,

    We are yet to develop mounts compatible with handlebars of 35mm or larger. This is a project that is not on our immediate cards. We hope to see it materialize sooner than later :)

    You can refer to this article: Compatible Aero/Non-standard handlebar mounts as it walks you through the different mounts that the karoo is compatible with.

    Happy Riding!

    @Michael

    Thanks for the link. But I found the prices kinda steep for just getting a 3D print. I found an other solution though.

    @Akhil:

    Thanks for your reply. I still find it unfortunate, since judging from other manufacturers it not really seems to be a matter of real development but just a matter of making the existing ring larger and providing two rubber rings accommodating for the different diameters of the handle bars. And then the K2 would work out of the box for everyone.

    I now went with an el cheapo mount from german Amazon. While planning to use the mount with the Garmin adapter, I noticed that the insert used on the Amazon mount has has the same distance for its screw holes as the proprietary Hammerhead mounting system. So its possible to remove the latter and put it on the new holder using two M3x15 screws. The insert delivered with the el cheapo holder would theoretically work, but does not provide a good base. So I made a new one with the 3D printer filling the whole hole.

    If anyone else has a need for it, here are the resources:
