Am I missing something.....Frustrated new owner

As a Garmin user recently tempted to try the Karoo 2, I must be missing something. My dashboard shows nothing but a map when clicking on a ride. None of the huge amount of data that Garmin Connect gives. As my first ride happened to be an indoor ride (with Vector pedals) the dashboard simply showed a dot on a map indicating where I did the ride. And that was it. I tried syncing to my Strava, and that has failed. So I literally have no data relating to my first use of Karoo other than where my house is. 

What on paper seems like an impressive unit appears to be no more than a navigation aid - when none of the data appearing on the unit during the ride is visible post-ride. 

As I say....am I missing something?

    Unfortunately, the Dashboard is more or less useless for this purpose right now. Elevation data ist wrong and no other metrics are displayed. You have to use third party services to analyze your rides. At least syncing works for me and alternatively you can download the .fit files from the Dashboard and manually upload it to Strava, Garmin Connect or analyze it locally with i.e. GoldenCheetah.

    Hi Paul,

    HH do not have any metrics on the dashboard, as a relatively new company all focus has been on device and device software development. The majority of people use strava or other 3rd party software which shows all the required information which have had many years of development.

    The dashboard is there to manage route syncing and prefs only.

    Not sure why your strava syncing is not working, likely to be down to incorrect set up or settings. You should be able to go to activities, select the activity and at the bottom select if you want them to upload to strava, komoot and RWGPS etc if you have them set up correctly.

    Thanks a lot for the feedback. I have tried everything re Strava. Disconnected account. Re-authorised. Signed out of Strava and back in. Nothing!

    Paul - what happens when you manually try to upload the ride to Strava from Karoo or Dashboard? Is there any error message? The Dashboard may not display everything related to your ride, but the FIT file still stores all the information.

    Thanks - I have not yet tried importing the FIT file to Strava. I did it fine to Garmin Connect. Will try Strava as well - thanks

    Can you also confirm if your Strava upload mode is set to Automatic/Manual on Dashboard? This article explains, how you can do that.
