No Route features
I've bought Karoo2 because after reading lot of positive reviews, and also comparing articles that says that it has practically the same features than a Garmin Gps.
But was not true, and now I'm very dissapointed because these articles doesn't talk about routing features. And now after buying the Karoo I've realised that karoo2 only has a basic routing option..
If you only plans to follow a road route then it's your device, but if you wants to use GPS for route adventure you need to think before buy. Although Karoo2 has many good features, from my personal opinion Karoo2 is not yet oriented to perform MTB adventures.
This is how I use GPS sometimes:
I love to discover new routes but I can't do the following thinks. (I still have a Garmin Explore that allows me to do these)
I'm not always follow a predefined route, some times I just use a loaded track as a base to have it as a reference and search new secondary trails.
Sometimes I load (2 or 3 tracks using different colors) into the same map, these tracks use to shares parts of the route or are very close, and then I'll combine these depending how I feel this day.
Karoo2, always consider that you should be on the track, and tries to re-route constantly. But I'm not always need an active routing telling me that I'm on the wrong path. That was my decision, why I can't disable routing option and Just follow the line if I want ?
I can't change the start route direction of the Gps.
I can't save 'rides' as a routes on the device... Why ??? and I'm still trying to understand what's the difference between both. If a 'ride' is not saved as Route, I can't reuse/follow...
I've also found some other post complaining about some similar thinks, I don't feel very confident that karoo team performs changes o routing options. These posts was quite older and features routes on routing was not really improved.
I'll hope that Karoo2 puts some efforts to improve Routing options to be a real competence to Garmin.
And please, when you perform comparing reviews think also on route options.

Hi,
this is one of the things that I currently miss and what has worked perfectly on my Wahoo ROAM: the simple input of a destination address without making it a pre-calculated route to follow strictly. The Roam simply calculated on-the-fly always an adaptive route from the current position to the defined destination, no matter how I drive. Is there something compareable on the K2 I've missed? The purple alternative route unfortunately does not currently offer the navigation aids of a yellow one (e.g. the thicker line with directional arrows). Unfortunately, for a new route to create while cycling, you need either an inserted SIM card or a cell phone hotspot.
